| Q 1. Where
is the User's Guide? A.
We have designed Globe HySales to be intuitive and easy to use.
Most people who have any level of familiarity with Windows
software programs are able to easily figure out the program with
little or no coaching simply by trying out the various features.
For the user that wants more
detailed information, a complete help system is available in the
software. Select "Help Topics" from the Help menu at any
time. Click on "Contents" to browse through the chapters
and read about any topic you choose, or "Index" to look
up help files by subject. Any help topic may be printed by
selecting the "Print" button.
Finally, for novice users, we have
provided a "Quick Start" feature that lists all the
major features and important concepts in the program in an easy to
understand graphical menu format. Simply click any of the buttons
to get started. Globe HySales will either open the help file to
the topic of interest or, in the case of program features,
automatically switch to the selected feature and display a
step-by-step list to walk you through it and teach you how it
should be used.
By default, Globe HySales always
starts up with the Quick Start view, and this may be the best
place for even experienced Globe HySales users to begin to
familiarize themselves with this new version. Once you have
mastered the program, you can turn off Quick Start so that Globe
HySales starts up in the spreadsheet view by clearing the checkbox
at the bottom of the screen.

Q 2. What is a
View?
A. The use of views is a fundamental
concept in Globe HySales. Once you understand the concept of views, you will be
able to navigate through HySales quickly and easily. Each major
HySales function
is accessed via a view named for that function. Unique to
HySales, the
view concept allows you to select a group of funds and switch from one view to another
with the click of one of the view buttons. For example, if you want to create a
hypothetical illustration, click on the hypothetical view button. You can also switch
views using the drop-down list box on the main toolbar.

Q 3. How do I select or
delete more than one security at a time?
A. You can select multiple securities simply by
holding down the <Ctrl> key on your keyboard while selecting the desired securities
with your mouse. If you want to select multiple consecutively listed securities, click on
the first security you want and, holding down the shift key, click on the last security
that you want. The list of securities in between will be selected. This can be done in
both the spreadsheet and the contents tab of the view settings for each view.

Q 4. How do I
personalize my reports and put my clients name on them?
A. From any view (except the Quick Start View),
select Print from the drop down menu and enter your clients name in the
Prepared For dialog box. When your document prints out, your clients
name will appear on the cover page.

Q 5. Can I create a
list of funds that I can use on a regular basis?
A. Yes. In the spreadsheet view, highlight the funds
you want to select. Click the 'Remove Items' button (minus sign in
menu bar) to remove the others. You can also use the
filter to select your list based on your desired criteria. Select Save list
from the Spreadsheet drop down menu and name your file in a specified
directory. (Note: To get back to a full database, select Clear list from the
Spreadsheet drop down menu.)

Q 6. How do I compare
a 6% fixed rate to a specific security?
A. Click the hypothetical button. Select
indexes from the Select from section. Type fixed rate
6% in the Search for dialog box and highlight your choice. Click the
right-arrow button to move the index into the selected items list. Next, from the Select from section, type
the name of your desired security in the Search for dialog box and highlight
your choice. Again, click the arrow to move it. Finally, select
Comparison in the Type section and click OK.

Q 7. I am trying to
do a hypothetical illustration and theres a tutorial box on screen. How do I get rid
of it?
A. Close the tutorial box by choosing
Close from the File drop down menu. The tutorial appears because
you entered the Hypothetical View by clicking on the Shortcut to Features icon
from the Quick Start View. Once you have mastered the features and no longer need the
tutorials, deselect the box that reads, Start up with this view next time I use
HySales on the bottom of the Quick Start screen. Next time you open HySales, it will
automatically open in the Spreadsheet View. To create a hypothetical, click the
Hypothetical button on your tool bar. (Note: If you ever get stuck and you need to
use the tutorial again, click the Quick Start button on your tool bar and your Quick
Start tutorial will reappear.)

Q 8. How do I include
the Net Investment Line in my hypothetical illustrations?
A. In the hypothetical view, click the view settings
button on the tool bar. Click the Other tab and check the Show Line
Representing the Net Investment Amount.

Q 9. In the previous
version of HySales the peer group graph was a useful tool for illustrating how a
fund stacked up to its peers. Is this feature available in new HySales?
A. Yes. It is now located on page two of profile
pages. Select the profile view button and click the Page 2 Benchmark
Page button. Note: Click anywhere on your screen to zoom in on a particular
feature.

Q 10. What does the
black arrow mean in the spreadsheet view?
A. It indicates that a column is sorted. The
triangle points up to indicate an ascending sort and down to indicate a descending sort.

Q
11. What is the
difference between Redemption fee and Deferred Load?
A. Both the redemption fee and deferred load are charges to
the investor when shares are redeemed. The redemption fee is based on the current market
value of the shares being redeemed, while the deferred load is based on the original
investment; i.e., if an investment of $10,000 grows to $15,000 and is later sold, the
deferred load would be based on the $10,000, but the redemption fee would be based on the
$15,000.

Q
12. How should
style analysis data in HySales be used?
A. When examining the style factors for a fund, it is
important to remember that the factors have no intrinsic meaning. Similarly, there is no
such thing as a "good" or a "bad" factor. The factors indicate the
degree to which the fund correlates with the named asset class and are therefore useful in
determining how much a fund derives its performance from a certain asset class as compared
to another fund.

Q
13. How does
HySales treat withdrawals (systematic or otherwise) from funds which have a DSC (deferred
sales charge)?
A. Withdrawals are only assessed on a DSC if they deplete
the principal. If fund earnings (from dividends, capital gains and increase in share
price) are sufficient to cover the amount of the withdrawal, no DSC will be assessed.
Although some funds have a prospectus provision which allows for the withdrawal of some
portion of an investment free of DSCs through a systematic withdrawal plan, HySales does
not yet support such provisions.

Q
14. When selecting
funds to delete from the Globe HySales spreadsheet, is there a way in which I can delete
more than one fund at a time?
A. Yes. To delete a block of funds that are next to each
other, highlight the first fund you want deleted then hold the <Shift> key down
while highlighting the last fund that you want deleted. If you want to delete several
funds that are not next to each other, hold down the <Ctrl> key while you highlight
the desired funds.

Q
15. How can I view
the information screen for an Index?
A. To pull up the Index information screen click the
<Scatter Chart> button. To find the index you are looking for click the
<Benchmark Indexes> button near the top of your screen. Highlight the desired
index by clicking on the index name and click <OK>. A new blue dot will appear on
the scatter chart. Double click on this blue dot and the Index Information page will
appear. Click the <Print> button to print an informative report describing the index
and its performance.

Q
16. How do I get the
funds I want on the Scatter Chart?
A. Any funds that appear on the main spreadsheet will
appear on the scatter chart. If you do not want all these funds to appear on the chart,
you can either filter the funds down to a specified set or you can remove funds in the
list by highlighting them and clicking on the <Remove Item(s)> button. Once you
narrow the fund universe on the main screen down to a desirable subset, click the
<Scatter Chart> button. The highlighted fund on the main screen spreadsheet is
indicated by a red triangle. You can change the selected fund by clicking on another fund
(yellow dot). Note: The first time you use the scatter chart, it will default to a
three-year time period, thus funds that started less than three years ago will not appear
on the chart. To change time periods, just use the pulldown menu labeled 'Year' to select
the time period you want. Globe HySales also allows you to change your scatter chart
preferences. Once in the scatter chart, click the <Preferences> icon and customize
the scatter chart to your own particular needs.
